“Strong young people rejoicing in Hope. Witnesses of Christ in Europe today” is the title of the joint meeting of the three sections that make up the Youth Commission, namely youth ministry, vocations, school and university, which was held in Santiago de Compostela from 19 to 22 September. This time, as in Krakow, along with the bishops and directors of the national offices, a group of 30 young people delegated by their Bishops’ Conferences took part in the meeting. Several topics were discussed: Young people and Europe: labours, resources, hopes; Youth, the Church and Europe: challenges and pastoral paths; From the Synod to the Jubilee: young people on the road with the Church; Young people on a mission on the roads of Europe.
At the end of the meeting, the participants prepared and sent their contribution for the Second Session of the XVI Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops (2-27 October 2024).
