BISHOPS OF THE CATHOLIC EASTERN CHURCHES IN EUROPE

Within the Catholic Church there are specific Churches, called Churches sui iuris, in full communion with the Church of Rome but distinguished from the Latin Catholic Church by different forms of liturgical rite and popular piety, sacramental discipline (administration of the sacraments) and canonical (juridical norms), for theological terminology and tradition. In Europe there are bishops of Greek-Catholic Churches, Maronite, Chaldean, Armenian, Syro-Malabar.

Once a year, with the support of CCEE, the Bishops of the Catholic Eastern Rite Churches in Europe meet to reflect and deepen the specific contribution that these Churches bring to the common and universal mission of the Church.
