The Interritual Bishops’ Conference of Bulgaria
The Interritual Bishops’ Conference of Bulgaria is the governing body of the Catholic Church in Bulgaria.
It is an ecclesiastical institution, made up of the Catholic diocesan bishops of the country. It is interritual because it includes Latin and Byzantine-Slav Rite dioceses. The Bulgarian Bishops’ Conference was established in 1990 and is the governing body of the Catholic Church in Bulgaria with similar functions to the Holy Synod of the Orthodox Churches.
